Anchor Transportation is a family-owned, 100-unit motorcoach company serving Tennessee and Northern Alabama. The 35-year-old firm has been using A-Suite Recruit from AvatarFleet since April of 2021.
When Recruiting, HR & Safety Manager Mandy Davidson joined Anchor late last year, she was relieved to be working with a driver recruiting and applicant tracking system that actually addressed her challenges.
In Mandy’s experience, other applicant tracking systems do not collect critical information like Social Security numbers and medical data. But this information is essential for hiring qualified drivers due to Department of Transportation requirements.

And they're not having to sit here for an hour to fill out a paper application that I'm just going to have to shred and destroy anyways because I'm going to upload it in an electronic system. So, it just cuts out so many different areas that I've always struggled with.”

“The fact that we're able to customize the application and obtain all of the required information — birth date, Social Security number, 10-year work history — those are things that most applicant tracking systems just don't have and don't want to have because the HR side of things says you don't do that, you don't collect those, but the DOT side of things requires you to collect them.”
