Repetitive data entry is the bane of any modern worker’s existence. It’s a waste of time. It’s tedious. It creates room for error. Overall, it’s costly, especially for motor carrier Safety Directors who know how important it is to get new drivers hired, trained and rolling as quickly as possible. When wheels aren’t rolling, you’re not making money.
That’s why AvatarFleet is pleased to introduce our new integration with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s Entry Level Driver Training - Training Provider Registry.
AvatarFleet’s ELDT TPR connects directly with the FMCSA TPR website, allowing you to leverage the data you already have in A-Suite. There’s no need for duplicative data entry, which only slows down your ability to get drivers out of training and on the road.
Now you can easily register your newly trained drivers in 10 seconds with the TPR directly from A-Suite without filling out the same form nine times.
The FMCSA requires entry-level drivers to complete specific training before being permitted to take certain CDL skills or knowledge tests. These are specified in the ELDT regulations and tracked in a government database called the TPR.
You’re probably familiar with having to fill out essentially the same form nine times per driver on the TPR site:
CDL B Theory
CDL B Road
CDL B Range
P Endorsement Theory
P Endorsement Range
P Endorsement Road
E Endorsement Theory
E Endorsement Range
E Endorsement Road
In fact, we know of several large motor carriers who employ multiple data entry specialists to do just that. If you’ve ever scratched your head and wondered who thought it was a good plan to require a similar form to be completed over and over and over again, you’re not alone. A top 10 trucking firm and a top five school bus company were both searching for a solution to stop the government form-filling insanity. With this new integration, we are happy to answer the call.
Now, instead of enduring this mind-numbing data-entry process, you can use A-Suite to automatically populate the TPR forms with known data (such as driver’s name) and avoid typing the same information repeatedly.
Ultimately, AvatarFleet’s ELDT TPR integration saves time, ensures accuracy and improves your new hire training velocity.
Our rapid submission process lets you enter records in less than 10 seconds thanks to pre-populated data, automation and a user-friendly interface. Our clients have tested this streamlined data entry process and proven it is five times faster than entering data manually on the TPR site — a boon to anyone managing a large fleet or working through a busy season. When you decrease the time your team spends on data entry, you can eliminate bottlenecks and reallocate precious administrative resources to other more important tasks.
Manual data entry is tedious and rife with the potential for human error. AvatarFleet’s ELDT TPR integration allows you to leverage the existing, accurate driver data you already have in A-Suite. No need to re-type the same information nine times and open the door for mistakes. Plus, our interface features built-in mechanisms to check for errors. Improving your data accuracy helps you avoid compliance penalties and ensures your records meet regulatory standards, giving you one less thing to worry about.
When you spend less time on paperwork, data entry and other administrative stuff, you can spend more time on what matters — filling seats, passing audits and bringing drivers home safely.
A big part of successfully hiring drivers is how quickly you can train and onboard them. You don’t want drivers waiting on a data entry team to complete their tasks. Our ELDT TPR integration helps you accelerate the training process to get new drivers up to speed as quickly as possible.
To register your new drivers in the TPR through A-Suite’s user-friendly interface, you’ll first create a record in the driver’s profile. Next, you’ll complete the relevant fields and submit it to TPR.
The two fields in A-Suite that trigger a TPR entry are:
Pre-employment behind-the-wheel (BTW) final evaluation
Pre-employment classroom training final exam
After selecting one of those options, you’ll fill in the following data:
Completion date
Application type (new or upgrade)
Training method (online or in person)
Hours or Score
Class/endorsement type for:
Class A CDL
Class B CDL
Hazmat Endorsement
Passenger Endorsement
School Bus Endorsement
The result is nine forms completed on the TPR site in seconds — five times faster than doing each form separately.
